One of the year’s major events will take place on Saturday 29th June when the Orihuela Costa Resort Hotel at La Zenia presents two performances of the concert ‘Songs That Will Live Forever’
The concerts will be performed by the ever-popular choir, Melody Makers International and the talented singers of the Cantemos! Children’s Choir. Both performances are directed and conducted by Nigel Hopkins – and accompanied by a professional band, most of whom fly in from the UK for the shows.
The programme will include some of the most popular tunes ever written, such as Annie’s Song, Imagine, Nun’s Chorus, The Prayer, Rhythm of Life, When I Fall In Love, One Day More, Night & Day, Unchained Melody, Get Me To The Church On Time, etc. along with many more by the Children’s Choir and their very talented soloists.
The children will repeat their recent success, which included using Deaf Sign Language whilst singing one particular song. This engendered great excitement and praise from an enthusiastic audience.
Tickets at 10€ (afternoon at 2pm) and 12€ (evening at 8pm) are now available from either the Orihuela Costa Resort Hotel Reception (Tel: 966 760 800) or CallNet Internet Cafe – in the alley behind Consum next to Paddy’s Point, La Zenia (Tel: 966 761 171). Patrons in the Quesada area can purchase tickets from The Post Shop, Avenida de las Naciones, Ciudad Quesada (Tel: 966 718 684).
As in previous years, these concerts will support the Costa Blanca Samaritans, and the mayor of Orihuela will be in attendance in the evening.
